Six Foundation Principles of Health – THOUGHTS

OUR THOUGHTS…what a huge topic hey??

Keep reading if you are after some simple ways of slowing your mind down, taking control of thoughts not serving you & having more positive thought patterns to break through insecurities so you can reach your true potential.       

As a CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach we are taught that a high % of health & weight related issues (at any level) go much deeper than a lack of movement & too much desert.

The 6 Foundation principles of health is where my coaching begins when working with any new client & is what i always relate back to, to keep clients eye on their prize or goal.

To the degree that we are separated from these ever so important foundation principles of health goals, dreams & personal legacies are harder to achieve.

These 6 Principles of Health are

Thoughts
Breathe
Hydration
Nutrition
Rest
Movement

Thoughts being what drives decision making is where i always start, understanding thought patterns & discussing with clients how to go about making smarter more positive decisions can be like turning a light on in someone.
This is why i do what i do! 🙂

So today i am going to share a few of my notes on “thoughts” & how to i go about improving them not only in my own life, but clients.. some suggestions might seem simple but are they getting put into practice regularly??
Over the coming weeks i will go through all 6 foundation principles of health & how i get the most out of my clients so stay tuned.

THOUGHTS
Emotions are just energy in motion

You can sit & study all day & be completely mentally exhausted without moving a muscle, thoughts & emotions take a lot of energy out of the body (especially negative)

Associate with people that make you feel good, minimize contact with people that drag you away from what makes you happy.

Think positively, write & add to a gratitude list everyday.

So who do we believe? Question slick advertising champagnes. What are they trying to sell you?

Use holistic doctors, counsellor & practitioners when necessary

Workout your purpose & set goals to keep you on track, being clear on what you need & want makes it much easier to stay motivated & clear on your days objectives.

If you’re not living for your goals you’re living for someone else’s.

Think before you buy food, before you invest $, time or energy into any choice, take the time to think about what you’re really supporting & if it is in alignment with your own beliefs, health & fitness goals. Every time we buy something we are voting. The better we vote the better our food supply becomes.

Take personal responsibility, true health & fitness is everyone’s birth right & individual responsibility.

Obtaining coaching from a health & fitness professional can be very useful but ultimately optimal health & fitness comes from owning your own choices. It’s all about the choices we make at the end of the day!

Find your own practical form of meditation or down time every day, it does not have to be anything specific. As long as it is not goal orientated it is considered to a form of meditation or relaxation.
